Traveling across the country has taught me a few things.
A) My teenage daughter, Amanda, is a wild free spirited young lady. She is always the first to jump into freezing rivers and attempt any type of etreme activity. She's a wild daredevil and I'm proud.
B) Don't EVER do this if you are insecure in your relationship. Ahem.
C) Our navigation lady, Karen, is a bitch.
D) Colorado is amazingly beautiful.
Today we are heading into Utah and I am taking over, I locked Karen up in glove box and I intend on making some trouble before we get home.
This is a road trip. We need to do things like line dance with locals, break into abandoned houses and search for a fabled ghost that roams the riverbed late at night.
We need to escape imminent danger while cracking up and pee ourselves with fright.
We still have 5 days left, we can do it, because from now on...Amanda and I are in charge.

In A) the word etreme is supposed to be extreme... Etreme is something totally different, but you all already knew that, right? I can't wait to get home and check up on all of your blogs. Can you believe i'm posting from my phone? I'm. A technical guru. ;)
lol, I HATE those GPS's!!
when my kids were baptized, two cars never made it to the church. both drivers were usiong their GPS. Took them to the wrong town completly, then they couldn't figure out how to get back, because they didn't even have a paper map in the car!!
Good thought...Karen's in the glove box! Let the adventures begin! Can't wait to hear more!
I love how you named your GPS...
hope you're taking lots of pictures!
have a wonderful rest of the trip!
Right on, that's what road trips are all about.
ROFL! Is Karen your GPS?
OMG, I can't believe you're still on vaca! You must have saved for this one for a longgggggggggggggg time! My goodness, you'd better be taking oodles of pictures or you're in TROUBLE!
Justine :o )
Cool. I expect to hear something really great about you and Amanda on the 10 o clock news. Wild Californians take over Zions National Park. I can't wait!!
Yes, don't let that bitch out of the glove box! I once had to do the same thing in Arizona...and I never regretted it.
Now go do some line dancing with some locals!
I really am enjoying your road trip. And I'm taking notes. Hubby and I are taking a small road trip in a week across country from PA. to Spokane, WA. in a U-Haul truck (moving my son and DIL).
I think I'm secure in my relationship after 30 years, but we'll see! I have a feeling our road trip will not be as exciting as yours and I would have no idea how to post from my phone. You definitely are techy.
HELL YEAH! GO GO GO!
Does Karen chrip, "reCALCulating, reCALCulating" whenever you get off the assigned route.
I hate that.
Hell yeah! Rock the boat girls!
Hi,
Interesting post. I have been wondering this issue, so thanks for sharing. I will definitely be coming back to your blog.
London Escorts
Sounds like fun to me! Throw caution to the wind! You'll find your way home eventually.
Also, I love the London Escorts comment. Totally made sense. ???
Yes, where DO you think Amanda gets it?
Look at you, posting from your phone! Does this mean I should consider one day getting a cell phone?
Enjoy Utah and its red earth.
glad you all are still getting along :) have fun
I'm going on your next roadtrip with you. I won't be a bother, I'll sleep alot, and I'll only get cranky when it's feeding time! I promise!
Sounds like ya'll had a blast!
blessings!
Right on, a road trip just isn't a road trip without someone locke dup in the glove box. Hope to see the aftermath of the trip soon.
Ooooh, cross country trip sounds like fun...I like leaving my mark wherever I go...and that doesn't even usually involve urinating on anything! Hope you had fun!
we love road trips. When we moved from FL to CA the kids were little. We have said we would like to do it again. My GPS is named Dumb Ass, cause she is one. HA HA
